General class licensing class planned in Auburn

The Northeastern Indiana Amateur Radio club plans to conduct classes in Auburn to help students prepare for the amateur radio general class license exam.

The club has scheduled the class for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from April 9 to April 30, with administration of the FCC exam on May 3. It will conduct the class in the Red Room of the DeKalb County Courthouse Annex, 215 E. 9th Street, Auburn.

Volunteer examiners will charge a $14 fee to students who sit for the FCC exam. In addition, students may purchase a W5YI textbook from the club for $25.
