Two-Meter Classic Sprint – August results

No Comments on Two-Meter Classic Sprint – August results

The Two-Meter Classic Sprint continued with the August edition held on August 7, 2021, lasting 30 minutes from 1300z to 1330z. Although the number of submitted score summaries decreased in August to seven, contact totals in each of the logs has increased, with one station breaking the 20+ qso mark. It is great to see the level of two meter activity increasing in some portions of the country!

A big thank you to all of the participants in the August sprint! We have four sprints to go yet for this year, and the September sprint will occur on September 4th from 1300z-1330z. The September sprint is a great opportunity to work out any station bugs before the big ARRL September VHF Contest the weekend of September 11th.

Soapbox Comments:

“Another very quick half-hour. Some additional folks were on so I only managed to get to three of the local 4 grids for this one (EN51, EN52 and EN62). Six Qs on CW (144.090) with two different stations from all 3 grids. Seven Qs on SSB (144.210) with the same two stations contacted on CW plus a third station from just one of the grids I visited.

“Much better participation this time.  I think people are finding out about it.” K3ZO

“2 new to the sprint calls in the log this time (N9LB, N9UM).  Thanks for the fun!  Hopefully we’ll be able to generate more local activity in the next one!” KO9A

“Alternated between calling CQ and listening on both SSB and CW nothing heard in EM69.” NY1V
