Well, we told you the 76, 875, 255, and 390 machines would be off the air this week for a move out at the Indiana & Michigan Robison Park sub station; and we were right, the but the outage lasted only about 8 hours!!
The 146.76, 444.875 are back on the air. So is the ACARTS 147.255 machine and the 144.390 Digipeater for packet radio. The work was accomplished rather quickly, so instead of waiting roughly a week, it is done. Special thanks to the team, and I don’t know all that were out there, but WB9SSE & K9OMA were leading the charge, I believe! Wow!
The 146.94 machine at Parkview on East State is next. We will be testing the repeater to be used in the upcoming WLDE project. This is a Fusion machine, and it is capable of digital and analog FM operation. The 141.3 tone is required for analog operation, since the machine needs a way to distinguish between an analog signal and a digital signal or just noise. Hopefully, this will be on the air by the end of this day (Wednesday).
Remember that the FWRC last fox hunt of the year is this coming Sunday, November 6th. Don’t forget the time change (Fall BACK; Spring AHEAD). We start at 1:30 PM EST, as we switch back to standard time. Fox is on 146.430 FM simplex, intercom is on the 146.76 repeater. Join us for FUN!
